CONSIDERING PIANO LESSONS FOR YOUR CHILDREN? FIRST THINGS FIRST!
Now, some Parents already know that, some others don't know it just yet, however, the common denominator among most Parents is the question "why teach my child piano/music?"
Now, we all would agree that some few years ago, we had just very few homes having a keyboard instrument, and today, well, I no longer keep counts, how often a parent calls asking a recommendation for a good keyboard. Indeed the times are changing, but the proclivity to just 'follow the trend' isn't. So, one home has a piano tutor and every other home just 'follows the trend'.
Over the next couple of weeks, I will be discussing on this blog some basic instincts that must be in place when you as a parent desire to 'bump' into the "every child deserves a piano" clique! A great educator once wrote: "it's okay to have a different view, but not when it's because you're uniformed!" This is where it all begins, now I know that many parents who desire to have their kids learning to play a couple of musical instruments, are mostly not musicians themselves, that is, they are largely "musically uniformed". As a result, they do not know the place of a curriculum for thorough study, they are unaware of the study grades (that is, what to learn and when to learn what), etc.
We would consider these among others, so that, if you're a Parent requiring musical education for your kids, whether at home or at school, in the least, you'll be "informed!"
