Foundational Class 1 part 3
Instruments:
Piano/Keyboards, Recorder, Vocals.

Repertoire:
7-9 (Piano), 5-9 (Recorder), 5 (Vocals).

1st Session:
1. Ear Training (sol-fa singing) from Melody No. 12 (Ref. RH Melodious Exercises Book 1).
2. Revisional: The Music stave: Treble stave, bass stave, grand stave.
3. Revisional: placing music notes on the stave.
4. Bars and Bar Measures. Music note values with their respective rests 1: Semibreve, Minim, Crochet and Quavers.
5. Introducing Time Signatures (also known as metre signature or measure signature) 1: what is Time signature? Simple Time Signatures 1.
6. Assignment: Learn to play melodies Nos. 16 and 17 with both hands: (refer to melodious exercises from the reference text book)

2nd Session:
1. Revisional: The Diatonic Major scale for the following keys: C, G, D and A for pianoforte, practice playing with RHF, LHF and BH across 3 octaves.

2. Revisional: the keys of G, A, B, high C, high D, high E and high F# on the Recorder. The Gmajor scale for the Recorder.

3. Assignment: Melodies Nos. 18 and 19 for pianoforte.

4. Intro Pianoforte Repertoire Nos. 7.

7. Sol-fa singing (Ear Training) melodious exercises Nos. 13.

3rd Session:
1. Rehearsals: Recorder repertoire for HSM 101.

2. Introducing and practice playing E major scale across 3 octaves for piano performance.

3. Rehearsals: Melodies Nos. 16, 17, 18 and 19 from the RH Melodious Exercises Book 1.

4. Assignment: Learning Song Repertoire No. 5 from the Vocalist Repertoire Book (Children's Volume).

5. Assignment: Pianoforte Repertoire Nos. 8

6. Sol-fa singing for ear training melodious exercises Nos. 14 [sol-fa singing textbook for pupils].

7. Learning to cover the lower key holes for the natural keys of the Recorder: low C, low D, low E, low F and low B.

4th Session:
1. Rehearsals: Pianoforte Repertoire Nos.  7 and 8.

2. Learning and practice C major scale for the Recorder.

3. Introducing the C major scale preludes version 1 for the Recorder.

4. Rehearsals for Ear Training: sol-fa singing melodious exercises nos. 15

5th Session:
1. Voice Training: pitch and range finder. One breath exercises.

2. Recorder C major scale ReHearsal.

3. Introducing the B major (diatonic) scale, with the RHF and LHF fingerings.

4. Practice playing the Bmajor scale on RHF, LHF and BH.

5. Assignment: Melodious Exercises Nos. 20 on Cmaj from the RH Piano Melodies Book 1.

6. Sol-fa singing exercises for Ear Training Nos. 15.

6th Session:
1. Pianoforte Repertoire Nos. 9

2. Recorder Repertoire Nos. 5

3. Assignment: Piano Melodious Exercises, Nos. 21.

4. Sol-fa singing drills for Ear Training Melodious exercises Nos. 16

7th Session:
1. Pianoforte Rehearsals for 3rd Recitals

2. Recorder Repertoire Nos. 6

3. Solo singing Rehearsals for Vocal cover.

8th Session:
1. Pianoforte Rehearsals for the 3rd Recitals cont'd.

2. Recorder Repertoire Nos. 7

3. Solo singing Rehearsals for vocal cover cont'd.

9th Session:
1. Pianoforte Rehearsals for the 2nd Recitals cont'd.
