So, Welcome Again... And It's Perfect Mcsnup here! On Today's Weekend Night Forum, we look closely into the Language of Music in Practice; our Reference Instrument for tonight will be the Piano! So, we begin by looking at the Meaning of the Name of the Instrument— Piano— which actually is formally called: PIANOFORTE! The Italian name, Pianoforte is made up of two words— Piano and Forte— Piano Meaning Soft and Forte meaning Loud! Together the name implies: Soft then Loud! This idea of the name of the Instrument is an example of the Outworking of the Language of Music! Typically, a stand-out feature of good Piano Performance, is the soft-loud dynamicsm that is associated with playing the Instrument.
