7. Assignment: Learn to play melodies Nos. 1 and 2 with both hands: (refer to melodious exercises from the reference text book)
2nd Session:
1. Introducing The Music stave: what it is? Numbering pattern from bottom to top, pupils to number the stave at the reverse side of the book cover [Reference: The Musicians Note Book].
2. Learning to draw the Treble and Bass clef: placement of the clefs on the stave.
3. Rehearsal: Melodies Nos. 1 and 2 from previous session's Assignment.
4. Introducing the Minim note values. Pianoforte Fingering Book 1 Practice Exercises for Minims.
5. Introducing the names of the respective parts of a descant Recorder.
6. Assignment: Melodious Exercises Nos. 3 and 4 on Cmaj from the RH Piano Melodies Book 1.

3. Introducing the C major (diatonic) scale, with the RHF and LHF fingerings.
4. Practice playing the Cmajor scale on RHF, LHF and BH.
