Foundational Class 1 part 1.

1st Session:
1. Ear Training (sol-fa singing) from Melody No. 1 (Ref. RH Melodious Exercises Book 1).

2. Piano keys Nomenclature (white/natural keys and black: sharp/flat keys).

3. RHF and LHF numbering and correspondence.

4. The Natural keys Anatomy from C

5. The Natural key technique to piano fingering: Practice and Rehearsals. [Ref. Text Fingering 1]

6. Fingering Practice Exercises for Semibreve: RHF, LHF and BH.

7. Assignment: Learn to play melodies Nos. 1 and 2 with both hands: (refer to melodious exercises from the reference text book)

2nd Session:
1. Introducing The Music stave: what it is? Numbering pattern from bottom to top, pupils to number the stave at the reverse side of the book cover [Reference: The Musicians Note Book].

2. Learning to draw the Treble and Bass clef: placement of the clefs on the stave.

3. Rehearsal: Melodies Nos. 1 and 2 from previous session's Assignment.

4. Introducing the Minim note values. Pianoforte Fingering Book 1 Practice Exercises for Minims.

5. Introducing the names of the respective parts of a descant Recorder.

6. Assignment: Melodious Exercises Nos. 3 and 4 on Cmaj from the RH Piano Melodies Book 1.

7. Sol-fa singing (Ear Training) melodious exercises Nos. 2

3rd session:
1. Revisional materials: names of the lines and spaces of the Treble stave.

2. Revisional materials: names of the lines and spaces of the Bass stave.

3. Rehearsal: Melodies Nos. 3 and 4 from the RH Melodious Exercises Book 1.

4. Introducing the numbering of holes for the descant recorder.

5. Assignment: Learning Song Repertoire No. 1 from the Vocalist Repertoire Book (Children's Volume).

6. Sol-fa singing for ear training melodious exercises Nos. 3 [sol-fa singing textbook for pupils].

4th Session:
1. Revisional materials: spelling from the Treble stave.

2. Revisional materials: spelling from the Bass stave.

3. Pianoforte Fingering Book 1 Exercises for Crotchet.

4. Rehearsals: Pianoforte Melodious Exercises Nos. 1-4 on Cmaj from the RH Piano Melodies Book 1.

Rehearsals: sol-fa singing melodious exercises 1-3.

5th Session:
1.  Revisional materials: names of the Recorder parts and numbering of holes of the Recorder.

2. Recorder Keys Anatomy and Fingering 1 for keys B, A and G. Placing the listed keys on the stave. Practice Exercises for the listed keys for Semibreve, Minim and Crotchet.

3. Introducing the C major (diatonic) scale, with the RHF and LHF fingerings.

4. Practice playing the Cmajor scale on RHF, LHF and BH.

5. Assignment: Melodious Exercises Nos. 5 on Cmaj from the RH Piano Melodies Book 1.

6. Sol-fa singing exercises Nos. 4

6th session:
1. Pianoforte stave preparatory exercises (ref. Smallwood's preparatory exercises).

2. Recorder preliminary Pieces Nos. 1 for key of Gmajor: Merrily we roll along, God is so good.

3. Assignment: Piano Melodious Exercises, Nos. 6 and 7

4. Sol-fa singing drills for Ear Training Melodious exercises Nos. 5

7th session:
1. Pianoforte Repertoire Nos. 1

2. Recorder Fingering practice exercises Nos. 1

3. Solo singing Repertoire Nos. 1

8th Session:
1. Pianoforte Repertoire Nos. 2

2. Recorder fingering exercises practice Nos. 2

3. Solo singing Repertoire Nos. 2

9th Session:
