Subject: Structure of Professional Resource Deductions for Intern-Artists
The path to professional Musicianship requires sacrifices— all round! For Instance, there has to be as much world-class equipment as possible; and training should not fall short of the requisite high-level discipline required of professional musicians— To ensure our interns have access to world-class equipment and high-level industry training, ReHearsal House Nigeria utilizes a cost-sharing model. While interns receive a monthly stipend for their contributions, specific professional costs are deducted at the source to cover the following specialized areas:
1. Professional Development & Training
- Professional Development Fee Applicable to All Interns (Workshops & Training Materials): Covers the cost of specialized workshops, guest masterclasses, and industry certification paths provided during the internship period. Fees are discounted, Training Materials are fixed, however; workshop and training materials are charged as they come. Fees and Training Materials are deductible over a period of time (Interest free— Materials however are only claimed at the end of all deductions) unless Intern opts to pay at Once!
- Course Registration Fee Applicable for All Interns: A general administrative levy that covers the Test of Applied Music, Recitals and the required Live Room Sessions.
2. Technical & Studio Resources
- Studio Usage Fee, Applicable for Interns in Recording Artistry, Music Production, Orchestration & Musical Directing Courses: Covers the maintenance, electricity (power generation), and wear-and-tear of high-end audio/visual hardware used during training hours; Technical Gear & Software Licenses. Fees are charged per Studio Session (Usage)— A Studio Session for Students & Interns is set at 60 Minutes. Studio Session Fees: 3.5k/Studio Session Fees for Interns; where regular Students pay 10k/Session and External Users pay between 30k to 70k per session (depending on usage plan).
- Intern-Artist Recording & Artist Platform Monthly Subscriptions: ReHearsal House Nigeria is a Private Limited Liability Company, with Approvals cutting across a vast section of the Music Business Industry. Interns in the Recording Artistry Course, are required to sign up into the Artist Platform; this is a pre-requisite to feature in series of Auditions for signage into the ReHearsal House Record Label program or that of any one of the Record Labels affiliated with ReHearsal House Nigeria Ltd. Recording Artistry Students And Interns in order to pitch a Record deal, have to sign up for a Management deal with the The Artist Platform (A subsidiary of ReHearsal House) this involves committing to a renewable monthly subscription fee. The subscription fee keeps the Intern-Artist under the Monthly Management routine of the Artist Platform. This prepares the interns towards the transition from "student" to "artist" by producing professional-grade masters for their portfolio and at a subsidized internal rate. Fees Chargeable per Track project. Consult with the Artist Platform for respective Subscription Packages.
3. Infrastructure
- Facility Access Fee (Utilities & Physical Workspace):
Ensures the continued upkeep of the ReHearsal House physical environment, including high-speed internet, lounge utilities, and specialized workstation access. Only Chargeable when used apart from official stipulations.
Note to Interns:
These deductions are calculated to be significantly lower than standard commercial rates. Our goal is to provide you with a professional environment where you are both an employee gaining experience and an artist building a tangible body of work.
