Piano Performance-Artistry Course

PIANO PERFORMANCE ARTISTRY COURSE

Course Introduction:

Piano Performance Artistry is a refined path under the KEYS Department tailored for the composer-performer. Rooted in the core of classical and contemporary piano techniques, this course branches out into the art of original piano composition, with a key focus on the creation of Bagatelles—short, expressive piano works that combine both technical flair and artistic interpretation.

While sharing much of its foundational training with the Piano Performance course, Piano Performance Artistry adds a creative composition focus from early levels, encouraging students to explore their own voice through piano pieces. By Program Level 5, students begin studio recordings of their bagatelles, leading to recitals that premiere both classical repertoire and original compositions.

The 2-Year track concludes at the intermediate performance and composition level, while the 3-Year track advances to full artistry development, studio production, and concert premieres of the student's own work.
