Program Description: This is the first formal Lesson for the Pre-Musikgarten Child; and should be presented homely- that is, without much protocols. The ReHearsal House Pre-Mkg is any where under 3 Years Old. The Program Focus are Ear Training, with a target to achieving absolute/perfect Pitch; Piano performance exposure, with a goal to having the Pupils being able to tune or sing along the Repertoire and classical tunes; then there is Rhythm as well as foundational sight reading.
A measure of controlled freedom is the rule on the keyboard; there should not be restrictions—for instance, the Child should be encouraged to explore, the on and off button of the keyboard, just by observing; The Child should be encouraged or allowed to try turning the Piano on and off by himself. The Tutor should deliberately adjust volume controls, while the child watches. The Tutor should simply be on the Piano, playing and making adjustments as they desire. The Child's learning is chiefly through observations! The Pre-Musikgarten Lessons are somewhat kept in a "loop"— that is, the Week 1 Lesson should be repeated through weeks two and three; thus the First Semester Program is grouped into three Lesson Weeks: Weeks 1-4; 5-8 and 9-12. The Contents of each Week-group, should be repeated severally over the stipulated period; And Moving on to the next group of weeks, the Educator should ensure that the contents of the previous weeks are slotted into the Revision Section of the new week.
