Keyboard Course

KEYBOARDS COURSE

Course Introduction:

The Keyboards Course at House University was birthed from the foundational Piano Performance Module, particularly the growing stream of students interested in contemporary and digital keyboard applications. Around 2013, the need to provide focused training on contemporary worship styles, MIDI technology, keyboard layering, synths, and band performance led to the formation of the Keyboards Department.

This course blends performance technique, musical directorship, band participation, and digital music skills, with a strong emphasis on real-world applications— especially within live church and studio settings.

From Program Level 3, students are deployed to Outstation Programs, playing weekly in church congregations, developing musicianship, leadership, and professional discipline, and even earning stipends for service rendered.
