Designed for the 21st-century creative, this program trains students in the art, science, and business of music production, equipping them with the technical skills and creative vision to bring sound to life.

From capturing raw vocal sessions to crafting full-fledged productions for radio, streaming, stage, and screen, students are immersed in hands-on learning using industry-standard tools, software, and environments.  

Covering everything from Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and microphone techniques, to audio mixing, mastering, live engineering, sound design, and studio operations, the course is tailored to create producers and engineers who are not just tech-savvy, but also musically intuitive and business-aware.

Whether you're producing your own music, engineering for other artists, building sound for film and games, or launching a production studio, this course builds your confidence to operate professionally in the ever-evolving music ecosystem.

-MPA 100 – Introduction to Music Production & Audio Engineering  

  A survey of the role of the music producer and audio engineer — tools, environments, responsibilities, and industry outlook.

-MPA 101 – Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) Basics 

 A hands-on introduction to industry-standard DAWs like Logic Pro X, FL Studio, Ableton Live, or Pro Tools. Students are guided in basic navigation, track setup, and simple audio edits.

-MUS 100 – Introduction to Applied Music

  Builds awareness of musical structure, sound elements, and their creative use in production.

-SOL 100 – Introduction to Solfege 

  Establishes pitch recognition, interval training, and ear development — foundational for critical listening and mixing.

To enhance musicianship and sound context.
