Piano Performance Course
The Piano Performance Course is a core program (available in Majors only) of the House University Piano Department, offered in both 2-Year and 3-Year formats.
This course is designed to develop comprehensive pianistic skill and expressive artistry — combining classical tradition with contemporary musical demands.
Program Structure:
2-Year Program:
Covers Foundational to Intermediate Skill Levels, focusing on core technique, musical expression, repertoire development, and performance confidence.
3-Year Program:
Extends through Advanced Techniques, covering master class-level performance, interpretative depth, and genre-spanning proficiency.

- Sight Reading
- Play by Ear & Improvisation
- Scales, Chords, Arpeggios & Progressions
- Repertoire Mastery (Classical, Gospel, Jazz, Contemporary)
- Solo & Accompaniment Performance
- Performance Psychology & Stage Readiness
- Music Theory & Harmony Application on Keys
- Keyboard Layout Fluency
Students are assessed through live performances, project-based recordings, juried Recitals, Test of Applied Music and collaborative concerts within the ReHearsal House ecosystem.
The course also prepares students for possible progression into Musical Directing, Composition, Piano Performance Artistry, or Music Therapy, depending on individual interests.
