DIPLOMA MAJORS IN GUITARS, BASS AND ARTISTRY:

A seven stage diploma course in Applied Music with Guitars/Bass majors is available in the Rehearsal House Applied Music program. The Guitar/Bass Artistry diploma includes a seventh stage. For students not having a prior background in music theory, a 3 weeks tutorial- “a basic course in the language of music” precedes this program. The Basic course is available also Online. Course Is Available in Full Time (3 to 4 days of Classes weekly) and Part Time (Weekends- Saturdays/Sundays).

Program Level 1: Foundation/Beginner.

Preliminary, First and Second Semesters.

Duration: 16 Weeks.


Preliminaries & First Semester: 

Basics in Language of music:

Duration: 8 weeks

Main courses: Introduction to the Language of music, Basic Rudiments of music theory, foundations in guitar music; Solmization and Ear training, Applied Musicology, sight reading for guitars, guitar anatomy and melodious exercises, introductory musical scales, etc.

 

Second Semester: Stage 2.


Duration (Weekday Schedule): 6 weeks.


Test of Applied Music: 2,000NGN

Recital: 3,000NGN

Main courses: Solmization and Ear training cont'd, Applied Musicology, Sight reading for Guitars, Guitar anatomy and Melodious Exercises, Introductory Musical Scales, First Guitar Covers (For Students in Guitar/Bass Artistry), Recitals, Test of Applied Music and others.

Third semester:

Main courses: Solmization and Ear training, Applied Musicology, Language of Music, sight reading for guitars, guitar techniques, musical scales on the minor keys, standard scores for ear training, history and philosophy of Music, etc.

Fifth semester:
